I think that “Understanding Your Digital SLR” may be a little tricky to those that have no clue as to what a SLR even is, but “Understanding Your Digital Camera” also seems to me as an understatement. Those might feel that a ‘digital camera’ may be those that you just grap as a snap and shoot, therefore this is not the case. People who have an interest in photography and are looking to take better pictures either have an SLR or aspire to have one, I think. So my vote is for the original title! I hope it is not just a simple how to use your digital camera because I feel that DSLRs are so much different from point and shoots and most parent's own P&S. I am a beginner and took a class on digital photography and the class was 1/2 DSLRs and 1/2 P&S and I swear the P&S did not get their money's worth. Their cameras didn't even have most of the features that were on DSLRs. All it did was make them want a DSLR. I realize some P&S do have the features, but most parents don't have those. I would say to go with the SLR in the title because once you start talking about it, those with a point & shoot may be lost or feel they've been mislead. Whatever you call it I KNOW it will be fantastic and it is SO WORTH waiting for! I am still reviewing my first dvd and pick up something new each time I watch.
