Have you flown Virgin America yet?

If not, a must! For real, there are outlets at your seat. No more laptop batteries dying halfway through flight!

Virgin America is my FAVORITE airline right now. You step on the plane and the lighting is PURPLE! :) There is groovy music playing, and you can’t help but do a little jig as you find your seat.

I told the airline stewardess it’s like a night club in the sky! She was like, “Yeahhh girlll, you know IT!”

Like Jet Blue, you can pay a little extra for some more leg room. The seats are all leather. You can watch new movies, tv, music videos…the list really does go on and on. I’m serious, it’s my favorite way to fly to CA or NY these days. And the tickets are dirt cheap!

And if you are so inclined, you can upgrade to First Class for only $100. If you do, try their Duck Spinach Salad. Wow, I’ve never had duck on salad. To have it on an airpline just doesn’t sound right, but we are talking yummy!

No, we are not sponsored by Virgin America to say these things. However, that would be nice. Brian keeps telling me he wants Ralph Lauren Underwear to be his next sponosor…hmmmm. Yep. I had to stop for a minute the first time I heard it too. Just let that thought sit for a minute. :) Maybe he could pull it off. Let’s see. Carey or Jeremy, any comments?

I think Virgin America would be my choice instead. :)

What’s your favorite airline and why?

I also LOVE Virgin America. They truly took everything that people want on a plane and made sure they had it. Totally love the outlets, more airlines should do that. And their prices are usually great too. Plus at LAX there is never a wait for checkin or security. There are so many airlines that I don’t enjoy flying, so VA is tops on my list! Just wish they flew to more locations.

did you say, “Maybe he could pull it off”???

I went to San Fran back in June while pregnant. I was not looking forward to the cross country flight!! So I took my chances and booked with Virgin, upgraded to the premium seat for an extra $25 (at the time) and drove over 2.5 hours to get to Dulles instead of 45 mins to Philly. WOW I’m soooo glad I did! Now I’m spoiled rotten and don’t want to fly any other airline!

I’ve never been on any of Virgin’s airlines, and I’ve only been in first class once. I was upgraded on an Air Zimbabwe flight for an 11-hour overnight to Africa out of London. It was so comfy, but no where near as nice as your pics on that jet.

My husband and I are pilots so I gotta say my favorite way to fly is IN THE COCKPIT!!! The view is to die for, and it’s so calm and quiet and if you want to dance in and out of the clouds, you can.

Here are some of our flying pictures… I should put more in here from recent trips. But really, can you beat it??

Also, here is the website for our airplane of choice…The Cirrus aircraft are totally first class. Leather, 2 large computer flight displays, airframe parachute, fancy GPS and weather maps and the WORKS. I like to plug my iPod into the communication system and I can listen to my music in my headsets while flying around. http://www.cirrusdesign.com

How neat - ive never heard of such a stylish plane! And if I needed an underwear sponsor, Brian would be the first one I’d call - for sure!

    Jeramy- you are BAD :D

I rarely, if ever comment, but this is bugging me…
if someone on a plane was drying thier hair would you not be completely annoyed? Really… I understand the convenience of it for laptops etc, but hairdryers???? sorry, just my 2 cents ;)

  9. on 17 Sep 2008 at 1:20 pm Me Ra Koh

I’m with you Lynette, but I think the couple making out behind me would even be MORE annoying. :)

This is soooo not fair. They don’t fly into or out of Chicago! :-(

  11. on 17 Sep 2008 at 2:29 pm Carey

Well, this is a little awkward.
Mera, I’ve told you before that I don’t like you putting pictures of me on your blog without my permission.
I’m not a fan of my “hairdryer” VA ad pic because it really doesn’t show off my legs enough. I told my agent so, but ugh… media these days!

As for Brian and his Ralph Lauren sponsorship … that’s a great idea! But really, don’t you think Calvin Klein would be a better “fit”? Or maybe Armani! Hey, it worked for David Beckham! And we all know David’s got NUTTIN on Brian!

    sorry baby….me ra started it.

I love Jet Blue. Another good one for shorter flights is Express Jet. I have never used VA, but I will now. Just have to figure out where I want to go. Do they fly out of San Diego? gunna have to invesitgate…

Ok all the comments about Brian are making me laugh. I agree Carey, David aint got nuttin on Brian.

    Keep it clean…lol(wink)

Trying this again because my last comment is still awaiting moderation. :(

And did you try a ‘chat’ with plane mate, like 22A? Then you could alert the entire plane that the RL underwear HOTTIE is in 1st class on THEIR flight….oops, should probably say that in a private email…

BTW, who flew VA and told you to try them, huh? huh? ok, well, maybe you thought of it too…:) Hope you had a blow out part-tay!!

Brian is just now reading the comments for this post. ;) Slipped my mind to tell him about this post. (hee-hee!) Wish you could see the look on his face. Carey, he’s going to kill you!

  18. I’m blushing.
    I’m flattered.
And for the record Me Ra, we’re keeping this a semi-family show, so I will not try to “Pull anything off”.

Thanks Jeramy for keeping her in line.

Carey, I totally know what you mean about the media. I’m so Sure!

And Lauren, you don’t know Ralph do you? Though maybe Carey is right about Ck being a better “fit”. Also I kind of like the Cirrus Vision SJ50. If i had my choice though I think I could be comfortable in a Gulfstream G650 http://www.gulfstream.com/gulfstreamg650.

    BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ

Oh man! is that my Alarm? I don’t want to wake up yet. I like my dream.

    Hey Mera,

I had a lot of fun and got a lot of info last night. Slightly overwhelming but very helpful.

And, in hindsight, Mera Koh is a VERY Korean name. Maybe, next time, I’ll bring a Korean appetizer.

  20. on 19 Sep 2008 at 5:27 am Lauren The Pilot ;)

Brian - oh yeah, let’s throw in a Citation X while we’re at it! I haven’t seen the Cirrus Jet in person yet, but the SR22 and the SR20 are so much fun to fly. I wish Brian and I could take you and Me Ra flying in an SR22 when you come to Chicago but we don’t have the cash to rent the plane right now. (It’s about $130 per hour of engine-on time.)

As for the underwear modeling, I’m going to wisely keep my mouth shut! Besides, I have a thing for guys in tight Carharts or Wranglers. ;)
